Monica is a Tucson native who graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She has the honor of being licensed in both Arizona and Florida. She has had the opportunity to practice in many fields, from Acute Care to Home Health, but enjoys the outpatient setting. Her areas of specialization include spine, extremities, manual techniques and pelvic dysfunction. She has continued her work as a Clinical Instructor for P.T., PTA and PT Technician students throughout the years.
Her 21 years of performing dance (and eight years of teaching various forms of dance), has given her great insight to better instruct and educate patients about their therapy and rehabilitation on multiple levels. Having herself experienced injuries, surgeries and successful rehab was what provided the impetus to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Being bilingual in English and Spanish enables her to overcome language barriers, thus improving patient results and education.
